Spanish Teacher, All Levels
Gina Lynn is currently in her twelfth year as the Spanish instructor at Holy Family. Mrs. Lynn has over twenty five years of teaching experience, both here in the USA, where she is a former member of the faculty at Ursuline Academy, and in Mexico, where she began her career teaching English at the elementary school level.
Gina is a graduate of both the Instituto de Intérpretes y Traductores and the Instituto Berlitz in Mexico City, and is a certified translator and interpreter. She also proudly served the Mexican Olympic Committee as an interpreter and translator during the XXII Summer Olympic Games at Moscow in 1980. Mrs. Lynn is also fluent in German, and has studied at the Inlingua Institut in Hamburg, as well as the German School Alexander von Humboldt in Mexico City.
A native of Mexico City, Gina is a dual citizen of Mexico and the United States, having earned her American citizenship in 2002. She thoroughly enjoys her work, and of all her accomplishments, she is proudest of the fact that the majority of her graduating students at Holy Family begin their high school careers in Spanish Level 2 or above.
Mrs. Lynn has served both Holy Family of Nazareth and St. Ann’s parishes as an Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion. When she is not grading papers, Gina enjoys cooking, watching movies and travelling. Mrs. Lynn lives in Coppell with her husband of 21 years; they have a daughter currently majoring in communications at Villanova University.
